A cat-back replaces the exhaust components behind the catalytic converter, while an axle-back changes the rear portion from around the rear axle onward. The better choice depends on the vehicle, desired sound, appearance, and how much of the existing system you want to retain.
Can Torque Lab build a valved exhaust system?
